Neighbourhood
Video installation, 2013

Very often the contemporary living conditions in a family or society are representing a mirror of historical processes. In the neighbourhood, we all have different problems, interests but we all have the same geographical position.

Because of geographical conditioned communities dependent on interpersonal benchmarks and activities; our intimacy, privacy and actions are under our neighbours microscope. Is it our curiosity or geography that prompts us to talk about our neighbours life during dinner rather than our own, or that the composition of a house often depends on the content of a neighbours house? Or are we just rating our own lifestyle in comparison to the neighbours?
